Proverbs 12:22 NKJV - "Lying lips are an
abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His
delight."
1 Kings 22:23 NKJV -
""Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth
of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against
you.""
Answer:
If we read 1 Kings 22:1-25 completely, we can
understand the connections and junctures of this sentence clearly.
If the Lord put a lying spirit, Peter denied the Lord
Christ. Thomas wanted to see the wounds of the Lord Christ by keeping his
finger. Why was he said? He said, because the Scripture must be fulfilled.
Jacob himself told his father that he is Esau for the sake of his blessings.
Ananias and sapphire were subjected to the curse of Apostles by lying before
them.
What is the meaning in, “The Lord has declared
disaster against you?” It is the test only. That is, can he escape from the
disaster? It is the test of the Lord between good and disaster. That means this is the only test whether he
will leave the divine path in disaster or he will think about the Lord?
