Ecclesiastes 1:4 NKJV - "One generation passes
away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever."
Psalm 104:5 NKJV - "You who laid the foundations
of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever"
2 Peter 3:10 NKJV -
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the
heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with
fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."
Hebrews 1:10-11 NKJV -
"And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You
remain; And they will all grow old like a garment;"
Answer:
This earth will be in its current form until the
limitation of the time determined by the Lord God. Thereafter, it will be burnt
and will become shapeless. When its life is taken away, no tree can germinate.
Genesis 1:1, Revelation 14:7, 20:11 and 21:1.
After the punishment as in Revelation, the earth and
the sky will be modified as the new ones. Refer Revelation 21:1. So, the earth
abideth forever in some kind of form. Is there any question?
