Matthew 22:14 NKJV - "For many are called, but
few are chosen."
Romans 14:11 NKJV -
"For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow
to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God."
Answer:
The Lord called every one. But, if the one, who is
called by the Lord, does not pay heed to the call and deviates from the path of
love; He cannot enter in His proximity.
So, Romans 14:11, “As I live says the Lord, every
knee shall bow to Me and every tongue shall confess to God.” They are not only Christians who read the
Holy Bible and go to church, but also it is written in the Acts of the Apostles
10:34-35 “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But every nation
whoever fears Him and works according to righteousness will be accepted by
Him”. From this, the virtue and purity are the gods for some people. What is
the meaning in above sentence? The Scripture explains that whoever follows the
virtue follows the Christ only. Some people think “Helping people in need is
nothing but serving God”, and do the service to the widows, destitute, etc. The
Lord Christ also explained in His judgment in Matthew 25:35-46 that He did such
service to the Lord only.
Some people feel that the goodness, humanity, and
love are the Lord and do the service to the society and support the destitute.
Some people feel that the creature in the creation and five elements are the
gods and worshipped them as the gods without knowing anything about them as in
John 4:20.
Totally the human beings became obedient to the
divinity in some way and determined that they want to go to proximity of the
Lord by His call. But, those who are chosen to go the proximity of the Lord are
few only, says in Matthew 22:14. Let us know, “Why?”
Christians, Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jewish,
etc., whoever may be or whatever their religion may be or whatever idol
worshipper may be, they think that they worshipping real God and worship them
by bowing their knees. Likewise, the believers of Christ got prior position in
the world and spread throughout the world.
All of them shall bow their knee to the Lord God and
shall confess with their tongue to Him and feel that they are trying to enter
in the kingdom of God.
But, Romans 14:12, “So, then each of us shall give
account of himself to God”. How many people are in position to give account of
their deeds? Is the atheist, who says that there is no God, in a position to
give accounts of the good and bad deeds in his life? How much value of wealth,
did we get as the inheritance in this world?
How much do we earn in our life? How much do we spend in our life? How much do
we spend to the destitute, charities, etc.? How long are we lazy, even when our
health is good? Why do we work hardly? We can read in this connection in
Matthew 25:35-45 about our service to the society and love to the neighbors.
So, by keeping love on neighbor steadily and by
spending our life in sacrifice, we must do the good deeds in our life. Then
only, we will be in a position to give account as in Romans 14:11, and get the
entry in the heavenly kingdom. The God called every one. But, we must wear the
virtue and purity s clothes to go as chosen one.
